Free ADHD self-assessment

Could it be ADHD?

Six questions, a few minutes, no cost and no sign-up. A starting point for a conversation — not a diagnosis.

The questionnaire

Answer each question based on how you have felt and behaved over the past six months. There are no right answers — the most useful thing you can do is answer honestly rather than optimistically.

  1. 1.How often do you have trouble wrapping up the final details of a project, once the challenging parts have been done?
  2. 2.How often do you have difficulty getting things in order when you have to do a task that requires organisation?
  3. 3.How often do you have problems remembering appointments or obligations?
  4. 4.When you have a task that requires a lot of thought, how often do you avoid or delay getting started?
  5. 5.How often do you fidget or squirm with your hands or feet when you have to sit down for a long time?
  6. 6.How often do you feel overly active and compelled to do things, like you were driven by a motor?

Answer all six questions to see your result.

Common questions

About this assessment

Is this a diagnosis?

No. It is a screening questionnaire. It can suggest whether a full assessment would be worthwhile, but only a clinical evaluation can establish whether you have ADHD.

What questionnaire is this?

Part A of the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1), developed with the World Health Organization. It is one of the most widely used adult ADHD screeners.

Is my answer data stored?

No. The questionnaire runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to us or saved anywhere, and your result disappears when you close the page.

What if my score is low but I still think something is wrong?

Trust that instinct and book an appointment anyway. Screeners are blunt instruments and miss people, particularly those who have built strong coping strategies or whose symptoms vary from day to day.

What happens if I bring this to an appointment?

It becomes a starting point. A full assessment looks at your developmental history and current functioning across settings, and considers conditions that can look similar to or occur alongside ADHD.
